Cuccio Swatches: Fountains of Versailles & Moscow Red Square

I have a couple of quick Cuccio Color Veneer gel polish swatches from my untried stash today.  This is only my second time trying this brand.  The formula of these two polishes was good… no shrinking or pooling, but it did take three coats to get full coverage.  The colors are absolutely gorgeous though, so I didn’t mind applying three coats.  The Cuccio gels are available in Matchmaker sets that come with a matching regular nail lacquer.

Fountains of Versailles is an absolutely gorgeous shimmery teal blue. This color just steals my breath away… I’m such a sucker for teals.  Even with three coats there was a tiny bit of visible nail line in certain lights, but it’s not noticeable in the photos that I took.  Love, love, love this color.

Moscow Red Square is a raspberry-leaning red with a subtle frosty shimmer.  After looking at the previous swatch, the shimmer in this seems a little flat, but it’s very pretty in person.  The shimmer seems to have some pinkish tones to it.

I also purchased the Cuccio base and top coats and tried them once.  The top coat was decent, but I didn’t think there was anything special about it that made it stand out from the crowd.  The base unfortunately didn’t hold for me, and I had lifting within two days.

Since this is a fairly new-to-me brand, I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences with it.  Please feel free to share in the comments!  Image may be NSFW.
